About Us

David and Jan Eldredge

David began working on Mt. Hood in 1977 as an assistant crew chief and reforestation assistant at the Zig Zag Ranger District. He began his "hands-on" experience in the construction field with his first business, Wy-East Construction. His realm of experience during this period included most aspects of residential and commercial construction including: drafting, roofing, framing, siding, decks, interior finish work, cabinet building, foundation, flat work, and stone and ceramic installations. This expertise has culminated into David R. Eldredge Construction.

David and Jan Eldredge have been full time residents on Mt. Hood for over 30 years and have a long-term commitment to the Mt. Hood community. This means that we are always available for our clients and suppliers. We are minutes away from most job sites, allowing for personal attention to every detail of the construction project and will continue to be accountable for our workmanship when your project is complete.

The quality of our homes hasn’t gone unnoticed; real estate associates in the area market our homes as “Eldredge built homes.” Our commitment to quality is reflected by the professional and talented craftsmen we employ. All of our subcontractors are licensed and bonded professionals, who hold a proven record of accomplishment in their respective field.

Commitment to the Environment

David is a Certified Green Professional and is committed to using green building principles in all projects. We can provide an expert opinion on efficiency of HVAC equipment, appliances, and lighting fixtures; choices in low VOC (off gassing) products such as paint, carpeting, and cabinets; implementing alternative framing methods and insulation options; and using reclaimed products in flooring and counter tops. We also make every effort to recycle or donate replaced products such as windows, doors, fixtures, and hardware to encourage re-use and prevent unnecessary items to be dumped into our landfills.
